The goal of the Lifetime Assistance Family Reimbursement Program is to help ease the financial burden for families whose family members with developmental disabilities are at home, without sufficient resources for needed supports or equipment.
Some examples of funding requests include reimbursement or partial funding for: respite (including paying someone to care for a family member while the family takes a much needed break or vacation); equipment, such as augmentative communication devices that allow an individual to communicate more effectively; other adaptive equipment which may increase independence; membership fees to activities or clubs which will assist individuals to pursue their hobbies while offering the opportunity to make friends with non-disabled peers; and assistance with transportation expenses.
In addition to helping fund recreational activities, camp, and respite, the Lifetime Assistance Family Reimbursement Program has provided many of the basic life necessities that we often take for granted including clothing, shoes, winter boots and coats, and beds for individuals who would otherwise go without.

“
We are very happy with our son’s program and especially with the caring, loving staff. We know he is in good hands whenever he is there.”
